THIS has changed our lives!

Ok, if you've followed my blog for very long then you know that I've tried many different systems around our house for the kids to do chores and they all seem to work at first...like the first 2 or 3 days or so, ha!
But this is genius.
This has my kids so excited to do chores that I've had to give them MORE! I'm not even kidding.
(By the way, they haven't asked me to blog about them or anything. I just came across this site and thought it was a great idea so I wanted to give it a shot.)
Wanna know what it is????

My Job Chart

This is what their website has to say about it...
MY JOB CHART was created for the conscientious parent as a tool to help teach their children to work.

In an increasingly urban lifestyle teaching kids to work has become a real challenge to many parents. A simple job chart is useful to help parents manage the chores around the house. An online job chart helps parents manage household jobs easily and efficiently. It also adheres to the technologically advanced mindset of many of today's children.

Using an innovative job chart that is based on technology, positive feedback, and mutually determined rewards, myjobchart.com helps parents help their children be responsible and develop a good work ethic.

Basically, you set up your chores for your kids. You assign each child their tasks for each day. You can also have bonus jobs (Grayson does ALL those, lol). Then you set up rewards because the kids earn points for each task completed. (You assign point values.) Then you set up the rewards. It can be anything and you can also teach them to "give" by donating to certain causes or they can work for items on amazon.com as well.

What are both my boys working for?
Playing video games with our friend Dan. =)
That's what they want more than $5 or $10 or a trip for ice cream.
Love it!

Our household goes so much more smoother now and the boys are doing all kinds of stuff...getting ready in mornings, taking out trash, making beds, cleaning bedroom, cleaning bathroom sink (so it's not left with a bunch of toothpaste gunk), vacuuming, dusting, mopping, not fighting (Grayson gets daily points for not being mean to his brother because it's been a HUGE problem.), reading their daily devotional. They love getting stuff done and then logging in and checking each item and watching their points grow! Plus, it helps me greatly. It teaches them to work and I don't have to worry about remembering to give them tokens or mark a physical chart because they have an easy link online and it's all set up.
Thank you, My Job Chart...you've changed our lives for the better and I love it!

(This sounds like a totally cheesy commerical and I apologize but I really love it. Obviously, lol.)

P.S. It's all FREE!
